ANITA LUDWIG AWARD

Anita Ludwig was the Auntie Mame of agency copywriters. Recruited by Bob Noble, she was known for her southern drawl, quick wit, and an ability to get straight to the point. She was highly creative, not just in her work, but in her dress as well.  The Anita Ludwig award recognizes the advertising agency professional who demonstrates honesty, creativity, and most of all a great passion for great advertising.

HOMER TINDLE AWARD

Homer Tindle began his career at KGBX in the mid 1940’s and was known throughout the community as the consummate media salesman.  After several years at KGBX, he moved into tv ad sales for KY3 for first two years the station was in business.  Homer’s real passion, however, was radio and he soon returned to KGBX where he worked until the late 1980’s.  Homer always put his best foot forward, wearing a suit, tie, and hat, when on sales calls.  He was active in the ad club for many years and was respected for his organizational skills, friendly approach, and diligent follow through with clients.  Each year, the AAF of the Ozarks recognizes the media sales person who demonstrates those same qualities of organization, integrity, dependability, and exemplary customer service that were valued in Homer.
